Authors: Nguyen, Viet Anh; Nguyen, Quang Bach; Nguyen, Vuong Thinh (2018) - One of the difficulties experienced by online learners is the lack of regular supervision as well as the need to provide instructions to support the learning process more effectively. The analysis of the learning data in the online courses is not only becoming increasingly important in forecasting learning outcomes but also providing effective instructional strategies for learners to help them get the best results. In this paper, we propose a forecast learning outcomes model based on learners’ interaction with online learning systems by providing learning analytics dashboard for both learners and teachers to monitor and orient online learners. This approach is mainly based on some ma...

Authors: Nguyen, Viet Anh; Ho, Si Dam (2009) - In our previous work, we have built an adaptive course generation system
(ACGS) [1] to adapt a learning path for learning goals. In this paper we describe learning activity is represented in the learner model and domain model to teach learners how to get through course content based on learner’s knowledge. Therefore, our model aim is to develop Bayesian Network learner model to manage overlay knowledge model and adapt learning activities based on a task model. In addition, an implementation of this model with the course topic about computer science domain for third year students is also described.

Authors: Nguyen, Viet Anh; Nguyen, Viet Ha; Ho, Si Dam (2008) - There are many methods and techniques which have been promoted to develop adaptive hypermedia systems [1]. Our model approach [2], generating
adaptive courses based on learner’s profile which learner’s includes background, skills, style...etc. One of important steps in our model is to generate learning path adaptive for each learner. In this paper, we promote an algorithm based on shortest path search algorithm to evaluate learning object (LO) based on its attributes [3] and constructed a Bayesian Belief Network (BBN) to generate learning path for each learner.

Authors: Nguyen, Viet Anh; Pham, Van Cong (2010) - This paper represents a personalized context –aware mobile learning architecture for supporting student to learn English as foreign language in order to prepare for TOEFL test. It provides adaptive content for different learners based on
context –awareness. In our model, the context includes location, time, manner as well as learner’s knowledge. Through suggested topics as well as test questions, the learners will be supported adaptive content meeting their demands as well as their knowledge. Besides, this paper also describes CAMLES systemprototype that allows the learner to learnadaptive materials for TOEFL test anytime in anyw...

Authors: Nguyen, Van Vuong; Advisor: Vu, Huy Thong; Nguyen, Viet Anh (2007) - Compared with other industries, Vietnam automobile industry is a very fresh one, only over ten - year since foreign ventures jumped into the market. Despite of the fact that current market size is small and certain disadvantages, Vietnam automobile market is promising; the industry is predicted to be one of the key industries of the nation in near future. Beside familiar ventures, such as GM Daewoo, BMV, Mercedes, Ford, and Toyota that operate as different legal economic entities...the
market also attracts emerge domestic assemblers

- Final Year Project (FYP)
Authors: Nguyen, Viet Anh; Advisor: Nguyen, Thanh Tung (2021) - This project presents the overall design of a Gas Sensor with a low-cost and wireless system. It specifically focuses on the development of an IOT based home automation system that can control various components via the internet or be automatically programmed to operate from ambient conditions. In this project, I design the development of firmware for smart control which can successfully be automated minimizing human interaction to preserve the integrity within whole electrical devices in the home. I used Node MCU via the Arduino IDE compiler, a popular open-source IOT platform, to execute the process of automation. Different components of the system will use different transmission mo...

Authors: Nguyen, Thac Huy; Do, The Chuan; Nguyen, Viet Anh (2016) - The appearance of a vast array of online newspapers makes appropriate news recommendation for users become critically important. A number of researches in this area have been conducted in recent years. This paper presents the Vietnamese content-based news recommender system. Based on information
about news stories that users have read and given feedback, the system can automatically determine news stories that users may want to read later. The center of the system is a hybrid user profile which can diversely model news reading features of individual users thanks to a combination of short

Authors: Nguyen, Viet Anh; Advisor: Nguyen, The Toan; Nguyen, Tien Cuong (2024) - The primary objective of this thesis is to investigate, examine, and assess molecular docking using machine learning and deep learning models. The goals may be succinctly described as: 1. Overview of protein-ligand binding, molecular docking techniques, virtual screening, and de novo drug design. 4 2. Evaluate a deep learning approach for virtual screening that is capable of identifying compounds of the opioid family with a strong affinity for their receptors and verifying their effectiveness. 3. Evaluate a deep learning approach for molecular docking that is capable of identifying poses with a strong affinity for their receptors and verifying its effectiveness.

Authors: Nguyen, Duc Thao; Nguyen, Viet Anh; Le, Thanh Ha; Ngo, Thi Duyen (2021) - With the development of virtual reality (VR) technology and its applications in many fields, creating simulated hands in the virtual environment is an e ective way to replace the controller as well as to enhance user experience in interactive processes. Therefore, hand tracking problem is gaining a lot of research attention, making an important contribution in recognizing hand postures as well as tracking hand motions for VR’s input or human machine interaction applications. In order to create a markerless real-time hand tracking system suitable for natural human machine interaction, we propose a new method that combines generative and discriminative methods to solve the hand tracking...

Authors: Nguyen, Viet Anh (2012) - This paper represents a new approach to manage
learner modeling in an adaptive
learning system framework.
It considers developing the basi
c components of an adaptive
learning system such as the learner model, the course
content model and the adaptation engine. We use the
overlay model and Bayesian network to evaluate learners’
knowledge. In addition, we also propose a new content
modeling method as well as adap
tation engine to generate
adaptive course based on lear
ner’s knowledge. Based on this
approach, we developed an adaptive learning system named
is ACGS-II, that teaches students how to design an Entity Relationship model in a database system course. Em...
