  • Applying CBR to estimate software costs.pdf.jpg
  • Article

  • Authors: Nguyen, Ngoc Bao; Le, Viet Ha; Nguyen, Viet Ha (2006)

  • Most of current software costs estimation approaches based on statistical models appear to be too complicated and hard to apply in reality. This paper proposes an approach to estimate software costs using Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) where the costs of a new project are estimated by firstly retrieving the similar previous project and then adapting its costs to the current conditions. The project is described as an ontology which allows the managers to estimate with various level of requirement analysis. Moreover, the statistical analysis results of the COCOMO model are utilized to reflect the domain knowledge

  • Although the development of IoT Industry 4.0 has brought breakthrough achievements in many sectors, e.g., manufacturing, healthcare, and agriculture, it also raises many security issues to human beings due to a huge of emerging cybersecurity threats recently. In this paper, we propose a novel collaborative learning-based intrusion detection system which can be efficiently implemented in IoT Industry 4.0. In the system under consideration, we develop smart “filters” which can be deployed at the IoT gateways to promptly detect and prevent cyberattacks. In particular, each filter uses the collected data in its network to train its cyberattack detection model based on the deep learning al...

  • CONSTRUCTING A BAYESIAN BELIEF NETWORK TO GENERATE LEARNING PATH IN ADAPTIVE HYPERMEDIA SYSTEM.pdf.jpg
  • Article

  • Authors: Nguyen, Viet Anh; Nguyen, Viet Ha; Ho, Si Dam (2008)

  • There are many methods and techniques which have been promoted to develop adaptive hypermedia systems [1]. Our model approach [2], generating adaptive courses based on learner’s profile which learner’s includes background, skills, style...etc. One of important steps in our model is to generate learning path adaptive for each learner. In this paper, we promote an algorithm based on shortest path search algorithm to evaluate learning object (LO) based on its attributes [3] and constructed a Bayesian Belief Network (BBN) to generate learning path for each learner.

  • In designing embedded systems, the exploration and synthesis of different design altematives and co-verification of a specific implementation are the most demanding tasks. Kaffe, an open-source technology, provides a platform for building a runtime environment and integrating different design methodologies. Integrating Kaffe into embedded systems is the cornerstone of java-like technologies, allowing possibilities such as the development of portable programs on mobile devices. In this paper, we introduce a co-design environment based on Kaffe vvhich supports the specification and prototyping o f dynamically reconfigurable embedded systems.

  • Handwritten text recognition is a difficult problem in the field of pattern recognition. This paper focuses on two aspects of the work on recognizing isolated handwritten Vietnamese characters, including feature extraction and classifier combination. For the first task, based on the work in [] we will present how to extract features for Vietnamese characters based on gradient, stnrctural, and concavity characteristics of optical character images. For the second task, we first develop a general framework of classifier combination under the context of optical character recognition. Some combination rules are then derived, based on the Naive Bayesian inference-and the Ordered Weighte...

  • A Method for Automated Test Cases Generation.pdf.jpg
  • Article

  • Authors: Vu, Thi Dao; Pham, Ngoc Hung; Nguyen, Viet Ha (2016)

  • This paper proposes an automated test cases generation method from sequence diagrams, class diagrams, and object constraint language in order to solve several steps of the model-based testing process. The method supports UML 2.0 sequence diagrams including eight kinds of combined fragments. Test cases are generated with respect to the given concurrency coverage criteria. With strong concurrency coverage, generating exhaustive test cases for all concurrent interleaving sequences is exponential in size. The key idea of this method is to create selections of possible test scenarios in special case of exploring the message sequences with their possible interleaving in parallel fragments o...

  • The curcumin derivative 4’,4’’-dibenzoylcurcumin (HL) was synthesized by the reaction between curcumin and benzoyl chloride in the presence of pyridine as a supporting base. The composition and structure of HL were characterized by spectroscopic methods such as IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Reactions of HL and transition metal ions, such as Fe3+ and Cu2+, in mixtures of CH3OH and CH2Cl2 gave rise to the corresponding complexes, compositions and structural features of which were studied by thermal analysis and IR spectroscopy. The results strongly suggested the obtained complexes with the compositions of [FeL3] and [CuL2]. In such compounds, metal ions coordinates with the deprotona...

  • In this paper, vve propose a solution for a worstl-case execution time (WCET) analyzable Java system - a combination of a time predictable Java processor and a method WCET analysis at Java bytecode level. The execution time of bytecodes, the instructions of the Java virtual machine, is known cycle accurately for Java processor, which simplifies the low-level WCET analysis [1 . In hard real-time systems, the estimation of the WCET is essential. WCET analysis is in general an undecidable problem. As concerning above, we propose some of WCET analysis methods using control flow graph applied for high-level and low-level Java processor. Java bytecode generation has to follow stringent rul...
