  • ZnO doped with different concentrations (2, 4, 6, 8 and 10%) of ceria was synthesized by the conventional solidestate reaction method. X-ray diffraction spectra confirm that all the samples have a hexagonal structure. The structural properties of the samples were studied from X-ray diffraction data. The surface morphology and elemental composition of the ceria doped ZnO samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.   • The elemental composition, film thickness and concentration depth profiles of as-deposited and annealed Zn1-xCuxSe films were studied by the Rutherford back scattering spectrometer (RBS) technique. The films were deposited on glass substrates by close spaced sublimation (CSS) technique.
