Abstract: Acquiring an mastering note-taking is likely to become a big bindrance to many learners while they often find it difficult to exploit this skill in their learning experience. It is especially true for General English students at International School, Vietnam National University, whose English levels are not very high. 50 note-taking papers from General English students were collected to analyse. The results were that there were more non-note-takers than note-takers, and most of the note-takers do not follow a certain note-taking method-they take notes in their own ways. Therefore, six methods of taking notes were introduced: The Cornell Method with the hope to improve General English students' listening comprehension at International School, Vietnam National University
