dc.description.abstractConcepts are the core of terminology because any term essentially reflects a specialized concept that belongs to a concept system. In the world, terminologists have investigated concept systems in some disciplines including chemistry, automobile industry, computer engineering, legislature, etc. but there has been little terminological literature discussing concept systems in Transport Construction Engineering (TCE). Most of terminology works in Vietnam tend to focus on statistical surveys of term forms rather than term contents, which represent specialized concepts. These authors have looked at terms as discrete units rather than interconnected ones within conceptual systems. This article investigates the concept characteristics of a system of TCE terms relating to “concrete” and the typical conceptual relations with an aim to develop a concept-based representation of TCE term systems, which provides term users with specialized knowledge and enables them to select the terms that best represent the specialized concepts. Khái niệm là vấn đề cốt lõi của thuật ngữ vì bản chất của thuật ngữ là phản ánh khái niệm chuyên ngành nằm trong hệ thống khái niệm. Các nhà thuật ngữ học trên thế giới đã nghiên cứu về hệ thống khái niệm của một số ngành trong đó có ngành hóa học, công nghiệp chế tạo ô tô, máy tính, luật pháp, vv… nhưng chưa có nghiên cứu về hệ thống khái niệm của ngành Kỹ thuật xây dựng công trình giao thông. Nghiên cứu thuật ngữ trong nước phần lớn thiên về thống kê hình thức cấu tạo thay vì tìm hiểu nội dung thuật ngữ là phản ánh khái niệm và các tác giả nghiên cứu thuật ngữ như những đơn vị từ vựng riêng lẻ mà không xem xét mối liên hệ giữa các khái niệm trong hệ thống. Bài báo tìm hiểu về đặc điểm khái niệm của một hệ thống thuật ngữ trong ngành Kỹ thuật xây dựng công trình giao thông liên quan đến “bê tông”, tìm ra các mối liên hệ khái niệm điển hình để thiết lập cách trình bày thuật ngữ dựa trên hệ thống khái niệm, giúp cho người sử dụng có thể lĩnh hội được kiến thức từ hệ thống thuật ngữ và nhờ đó chọn được thuật ngữ phản ánh đúng khái niệm chuyên ngành.vi

    dc.description.abstractConcepts are the core of terminology because any term essentially reflects a specialized concept that belongs to a concept system. In the world, terminologists have investigated concept systems in some disciplines including chemistry, automobile industry, computer engineering, legislature, etc. but there has been little terminological literature discussing concept systems in Transport Construction Engineering (TCE). Most of terminology works in Vietnam tend to focus on statistical surveys of term forms rather than term contents, which represent specialized concepts. These authors have looked at terms as discrete units rather than interconnected ones within conceptual systems. This article investigates the concept characteristics of a system of TCE terms relating to “concrete” and the typical conceptual relations with an aim to develop a concept-based representation of TCE term systems, which provides term users with specialized knowledge and enables them to select the terms that best represent the specialized concepts. Khái niệm là vấn đề cốt lõi của thuật ngữ vì bản chất của thuật ngữ là phản ánh khái niệm chuyên ngành nằm trong hệ thống khái niệm. Các nhà thuật ngữ học trên thế giới đã nghiên cứu về hệ thống khái niệm của một số ngành trong đó có ngành hóa học, công nghiệp chế tạo ô tô, máy tính, luật pháp, vv… nhưng chưa có nghiên cứu về hệ thống khái niệm của ngành Kỹ thuật xây dựng công trình giao thông. Nghiên cứu thuật ngữ trong nước phần lớn thiên về thống kê hình thức cấu tạo thay vì tìm hiểu nội dung thuật ngữ là phản ánh khái niệm và các tác giả nghiên cứu thuật ngữ như những đơn vị từ vựng riêng lẻ mà không xem xét mối liên hệ giữa các khái niệm trong hệ thống. Bài báo tìm hiểu về đặc điểm khái niệm của một hệ thống thuật ngữ trong ngành Kỹ thuật xây dựng công trình giao thông liên quan đến “bê tông”, tìm ra các mối liên hệ khái niệm điển hình để thiết lập cách trình bày thuật ngữ dựa trên hệ thống khái niệm, giúp cho người sử dụng có thể lĩnh hội được kiến thức từ hệ thống thuật ngữ và nhờ đó chọn được thuật ngữ phản ánh đúng khái niệm chuyên ngành.vi
