  • The study aims at exploring the lexical representations of the English preposition over in the light of Lexical concepts and Cognitive models. We advocate the idea by Evans that over, as a linguistic vehicle paired with other units, encodes distinct lexical concepts (2009). The data were collected from the Corpus of Contemporary American English, 2017 Spoken and analyzed with content-based methods.
