  • Essential oil of Cinnamomum longepetiolatum Costerm. apud Phamh. Obtained by hydro distillation. The essential oil yield was 0.91% in fresh leaves. The chemical composition of this oil was study by GC and GC/MS. Twelve compounds were identified representing 98.8% of this oil with camphor as major constituent (87.5%). Eleven other compounds were found with lower content. The results of this study shows that Cinnamomum longepetiolatum Costerm. apud Phamh. was a new natural source of camphor in Vietnam.

  • Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs) released from thermal processes of various industries have urgently concerned. Stack gas samples were collected from selected electric arc furnaces (EAFs) in Vietnam in order to investigation of PCDD/F concentration, congener profile and emission factors. U.S EPA method 23 was used following the requirements for isokinetic sampling of stack gas emission.   • Chemical composition of essential oil of Machilus Japonica Siebold & Zucc. (Lauraceae) from Vietnam were studied. The essential oil were obtained from the leaves of young plants (3-4 years) by hydrodistillation. The identification of the components was performed using GC, GC/MS. The main components in this species identified were α-phellandrene (60.2%), β- phellandrene (10.5%), p-cymene (20.3%), β-myrcene (3.7%), terpineole (0.9%), trans-β-ocimene (0.7%), 11-dodecenol (0.3), β-Caryophyllene (0,5%).   • Hiệu quả vi chiết của cột OT-SPME phủ lớp GCB-PDMS bên trong thành ống đã được đánh giá đến 150 lần lấy mẫu không gian hơi ở 75oC. Số đếm diện tích píc của các chất Cl-VOC với lần lấy mẫu thứ 150 giảm từ 2,58 đến 5,50%. Đã sử dụng số đếm diện tích píc để so sánh hiệu quả vi chiết của cột OT-SPME phủ lớp GCB-PDMS và sợi vi chiết thương mại phủ lớp PDMS. Số đếm diện tích píc của các chất đã được vi chiết bằng cột OT-SPME cao hơn gấp 10 lần so với sợi vi chiết PDMS.
