  • The radial (horizontal) coefficient of consolidation (cr) is a key parameter which impacts the total consolidation of the PVD-improved grounds. In practice, the cr value can be interpreted from field tests and laboratory tests. A radial consolidation test (RCT) might be conducted using incremental loading (IL) method with either a central drain (CD) or a peripheral drain (PD).
