  • The thesis aimed to explore the intercultural competence (IC) performed by English – Vietnamese simultaneous interpreters (SIrs) via intercultural communicative (ICC) transfers during their real – life work sessions. A review of different competence models of interpreters showed that IC is a required component in making up a professional interpreter.
