  • So far, medical data have been used to serve the need of people’s healthcare. In some countries, in recent years, a lot of hospitals have altered the conventional paper medical records into electronic health records. The data in these records grow continuously in real time, which generates a large number of medical data available for physicians, researchers, and patients in need. Systems of electronic health records share a common feature that they are all constituted from open sources for Big Data with distributed structure in order to collect, store, exploit, and use medical data to track down, prevent, treat human’s diseases, and even forecast dangerous epidemics.

  • Sputtered Tb(Fen--Co,) !-), -/YxFel x multilayers (0 < X < 0.2) with a T)FeCo layer thickness tn.KpCo - 1 2 nm and YFeCo layer thickness iYi-vr» - 10 nm hive been studied bv means of the X-ray diffraction (XRD), high-resolution tnnsmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), conversion electron Mossbauer Sfectrometrv (CEMS) and magnetostriction investigations. The results show tlat nanocrystals are naturally formed and coexist within an amorphous matrix 11 Y, layers. For this discontinuous exchange-spring multilayers, a parallel magnetostrictive susceptibility ỵ,j: as large as 29.4x10 “ T 1, which is almost half of that (79.6x10 T ') of the Metglas 2605SC, was achieved.

  • We present preliminary results on the whole genome analysis of an anonymous Vietnamese individual of the Kinh ethnic group (KHV) that was deeply sequenced to 30-fold using the Illumina sequencing machines. The sequenced genome covered 99.8% of the human reference genome (GRCh37). We discovered (1) 3.4 million single polymorphism nucleotides (SNPs) of which 41,396 (1.2%) were novel, (2) 654 thousand short indels of which 35,263 (5.4%) were novel (i.e., not present in the dbSNP and the 1000 genomes project databases). We also detected 10,611 large structural variants (length ≥100 bp). This study is our initial step toward large-scale genome projects on Vietnamese population.

  • In the globalization context, Vietnamese higher education institutions need to fulfill the functions of the third generation university as well as the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution. In this case, the innovation-driven smart university, namely SMARTI model, was proposed. By the approach of the university ecosystem, SMARTI model has been described with 5 core values: digital skills and entrepreneurship; flexibility and connectivity; research and innovation; internationalization; and promotion of social norms. The SMARTI can be governed and benchmarked through the criteria of the university performance metrics (UPM). Preliminary implementations were employed for Vietnam'...
