Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition characterized by recurring thoughts and repetitive behaviors. It significantly impacts the daily lives, academic performance, and relationships of students. This research aims to explore the factors that contribute to the development and worsening of perfectionism and OCD among students. The study provides an overview of OCD, including its symptoms and prevalence among students. It emphasizes the impact of OCD on students' daily activities, academic performance, and relationships. The study also examines the relationship between perfectionism and OCD, highlighting how these constructs can mutually influence each other. Data collection for the study presented challenges due to the sensitive nature of OCD. However, with the guidance of a trained psychologist, the research team managed to gather survey responses from 150 participants. Logistic regression analysis was applied to the data to identify important factors related to the diagnosis of OCD. The study highlights the potential of logistic regression as a tool for diagnosing OCD In conclusion, this research study sheds light on the factors influencing perfectionism and OCD among students. By understanding these factors, educators, mental health professionals, and parents can develop targeted interventions and support systems to promote the well-being and academic success of students affected by perfectionism and OCD.
