This can be attained by using Geographical Information System (GIS) to analyze yearly satellite images of forest cover; Identification of drivers, both direct and underlying, of deforestation and forest degradation in the research site. This can be achieved by field visit to the visible changes indicated from the satellite images analysis mentioned above. People interviewing/household survey and data collection would be carried out for analysis; Estimated changes in natural habitat of Saola, a critically endangered animal specie...

The corporate governance mechanism is proxied by the board size, number of non-executive members on board, chairman ownership, executive board size, CEO duality, CEO ownership, ownership concentration and foreign ownership. Meanwhile, the firm performance is measured by four indicators which belong to three different types of measurements including: accounting measurements (ROA and ROE), market-value measurements (To...

  • The purpose of this research is to point out the organization factors that affect the deviant behaviors and the impact of Internal Virtual Community Participation in those relationships from service organizations in Vietnam. The study focuses on two types of employee’s deviant behaviors: interpersonal deviance and organizational deviance. Self-report data was collected among 174 employees of some Vietnam services company through an online survey. Correlational and moderated regression analyses were used to test the hypotheses. The results show that Likelihood of detection (L) is the most critical factor that impacts both Interpersonal and Organizational Deviance,...

  • In recent years entrepreneurship has had a positive impact on restructuring the economy, the labor structure and improving the competitiveness of the economy. With the supportive policies of the government, improving the quality of entrepreneurship education becomes an important task for universities. Furthermore, policies of the government have been implemented, entrepreneurship training activities have been held in several universities in Vietnam. However, this topic is quite new in academic research. With the aim of helping universities, educational policy makers have more resources and understand more about the various elements of entrepreneurship education and its impact no...

  • In the recent years, the global challenge posed by climate change has received greater attention in many countries than before. Due the various campaign led by many climate activist like Greta Thunberg and others. There is a significant increase of awareness across the globe. This increased awareness prompted responses from the governments, international organizations, NGOs, researchers and policy makers towards addressing the issue. Responding to climate change involves two possible approaches; reducing and stabilizing the levels of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere (mitigation) and adjusting to cope with the already existing impacts (adaptation). Since the IPCC Fourth Assessment R...

  • Effects of vegetation on The urban thermal environment And climate adaptation: A case study in Hanoi, Hanoi, like other cities in the world, has been facing a rise in temperature due to urbanization and global climate change. It is the capital of and the second largest city in Vietnam, with an area of 3,359 km and a population of 7.52 million people (as of 2018, according to GSO, 2020). The city has more than a thousand-year long history, but it has significantly changed after the reformation – Doi Moi in 1986. Particularly, during the period of 1990 – 2010, the urban population in Hanoi grew from about 0.9 million to over 3 million people (Labbe, 2010), and the urban land area exten...

  • The issue of climate change and conflict is causing controversy globally. Although comparative research on climate change is rapidly increasing, significant gaps in knowledge still exists as far as its relationship with conflict is concerned. Many existing studies provide mostly inconclusive insights, with contradictory or weak demonstrated effects of climate variability and change on violent conflict. This article reviews the empirical relationship between climate change conflicts. Making an enormous analysis of the causality pathways of Climate change and conflict, using the Case study that falls under the most climate-vulnerable regions - Lake Chad Basin. From the analy...

  • In chemistry, photocatalysis is the acceleration of a photoreaction in the presence of a catalyst. According to theory, the structure of matter consists of a region of molecular orbitals that are packed with enough electrons, called valence band (VB) and a region of molecular orbitals and electron drums, called conduction band (CB). These two regions are separated by an energy gap called the band gap energy, which is the energy difference between the VB and the CB. The difference between conductive, non-conductive and semi-conductive materials is the difference in the energy band gap value. Semiconductor material is an intermediate material between conductive material and non-...

  • Behavior of plasmid-mediated Colistin resistance gene in urban Water environment. The comparable levels of mcr-1 in urban sewage in Vietnam and Japan showed the prevalence of the transmissible colistin resistance gene. Domestic wastewater is thus considered an important monitoring target for mcr-1 in urban cities. The presence of mcr-1 is significantly correlated with 16S rRNA genes, blaNDM-1 and crAssphage, suggesting the co-occurrence of these genes in polluted water samples. Whereas wastewater treatment could reduce mcr-1 copy numbers, final effluents after chlorination still contained mcr-1. In addition to conventional indices of total coliform and E. coli, it ...
