With the advent of new diagnostic modalities including ultrasonography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, there has been a steadily growing demand for atlases which display the human body in multidirectional section. It is no longer only the anatomists who deal with pictures of sections of the human body on a daily basis. Today, clinicians in ever increasing numbers must do the same. The purpose of this book is to provide a detailed depiction of sectional anatomy for medical students, residents, and practitioners of radiology, medicine and surgery.
